November 19, 1940 – March 15, 2025

Sydney “Char” Charlene Lampkins was born on November 19, 1940, to Opal and Charles Adams. She passed on March 15, 2025, at the age of 85.

She was raised in Okmulgee and graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1960. Char loved to dance to country music and taught lessons in the late 80’s. One of her proudest accomplishments was building the Okmulgee Alumni web page. She scanned countless yearbooks from OHS and the Board of Education resulting in 116 years of records and photos for students and teachers starting with the class of 1906.

She is survived by her son Wayne Adams of Tulsa; daughter, Paula and James Miller of Mounds; grandchildren, Kristin Miller and Jacob Miller; and great granddaughter, Paisleigh Tucker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.

Char’s family would like to thank Tammy Howell and Christi Rogers for years of dedication to the care and well being of Char. She loved you both and was thankful to have you in her life. Gary Kelley’s Add’Vantage Funeral Services is handling Char’s cremation. Her ashes will be laid to rest alongside her parents.

Per Char’s wishes, the family is not planning a funeral service.
