By JUSTUS MOSCO STAFF WRITER

Henryetta 21, Wellston 0

The Henryetta Lady Knights slowpitch squad delivered a first-inning explosion en route to a 21-0 shutout over Wellston on Tuesday, powered by Keegan Hamric’s dominant performance at the plate and in the circle.

Hamric went 3-for-3 with a double, home run, and single, collecting seven RBIs. She was the spark in a 16-run first inning that included two errors, singles from Renny Rex, Ailanee Hicks and Hailey Lewis, and a two-run homer to center by Hamric.

In the second inning, Henryetta added five more runs, including another two-RBI single from Hamric and a two-run double by Kelsey Brandt.

Hamric also pitched a complete game, allowing just one hit over three innings.

Henryetta racked up 17 hits overall.

The Lady Knights also turned a double play and committed no errors in the field. Hailey Lewis led defensively with seven plays.

Hicks went deep in each of the first three innings, including a three-run shot in the second that capped an eight-run rally. The Knights found themselves trailing 5-2 before flipping the game with six hits and several key RBIs in the second inning.

Henryetta added three more runs in the third with back-toback homers by Allie Davis and Hicks, and sealed the game with a four-run fifth inning that featured a three-run homer from Keegan Hamric.

The bats were booming as the Henryetta Lady Knights powered past the visiting Warner Lady Eagles 18-9 on Tuesday, with Allie Davis launching two home runs to lead the offensive onslaught.

Davis struck early and often, homering in the first and third innings, while teammate Ailanee Hicks crushed a grand slam in the second to open the floodgates.

The Lady Knights piled on 14 hits in total and scored in every inning except the fifth. In the sixth, they added six more runs thanks to a solo shot by Renny Rex, a three-run blast from Khloe Coates, and timely hitting by Kelsey Brandt, who drove in four runs in a 3-for-3 performance.

Keegan Hamric pitched six innings for Henryetta, allowing just one earned run.
