Okmulgee Community Theatre presents ‘Clue’
By Patrick Ford Editor

This weekend, the Okmulgee Community Theatre invites you to experience mystery, mischief and mayhem in their lively production of “Clue,” a theatrical adaptation inspired by the classic board game and beloved 1985 movie. Set to unfold on the stage of the historic Orpheum Theatre, this performance features a spirited local cast, familiar faces from past productions and several fresh talents making their community theatre debut.

“Clue” takes the stage on Friday, April 11, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 12, at 2 p.m. at the Or- pheum Theatre, 210 W. 7th St. in downtown Okmulgee. Admission is $10 adults and $5 for age 12 and under. The concession stand will feature popcorn, soda and water.

This performance of “Clue” is an ensemble piece brimming with quirky characters, mysterious motives and comedic chaos. The story unfolds in a mansion filled with secrets and plenty of suspicion, as guests attempt to solve a murder – or avoid being the next victim. The cast includes a blend of returning actors and newcomers, each bringing energy and personality to their roles.

With no membership dues, it remains an accessible, inclusive space for actors, musicians, technicians and storytellers of all ages.

Through the support of the John McConnel Estate, local sponsors and community volunteers, this vibrant troupe has transformed the Orpheum Theatre into a beacon of local arts and entertainment.

– Catch the show this weekend and see if you can piece together the puzzle before the final curtain call. Will it be Miss Scarlet in the library with the candlestick? Or perhaps Colonel Mustard in the study with the wrench?

No matter who did it, this production promises to be a thrilling, laughter-filled night of theatre right in the heart of Okmulgee.

– The Okmulgee Community Theatre, founded in early 2019 as a non-profit organization, continues to fulfill its mission of providing a creative outlet for local residents and producing high-quality entertainment.
