Knights cruise in sweep over Wilson
By JUSTUS MOSCO STAFF WRITER

The Henryetta Knights swept the Wilson Tigers on the road in a county battle Tuesday. Below is a recap of the doubleheader:

Game 1: Henryetta 17, Wilson 0

A massive nine-run third inning powered the Knights to a 17-0 shutout over Wilson on Tuesday.

The Knights got rolling early when Mavrix Randleman smashed a two-run home run in the top of the first, followed by a bases-loaded walk from Blaze Hill to give Henryetta a 3-0 lead. They added five more runs in the second, aided by Wilson errors and patient plate appearances that saw the Knights collect 16 walks on the day.

The explosive third inning featured RBI contributions from Will Perez (sacrifice fly), Boston Morris (RBI single) and Landen Jones, who drove in a run after being hit by a pitch. The team also capitalized on Wilson miscues and aggressive base running, including a steal of home. Hunter Bowdler picked up the win on the mound, allowing just one hit over 1.2 innings with four strikeouts. Landen Jones closed the game with 1.1 innings of scoreless relief.
