Ruby Tenison went 3-for-3 and drove in two runs as the Beggs Lady Demons defeated the Henryetta Lady Knights 7-2 on Tuesday.
Henryetta jumped ahead in the top of the first when Keegan Hamric singled to bring in a run. But Beggs quickly answered in the bottom of the second, as Tenison singled to center and Stella Howell hit an infield single, each scoring a run.
In the third, Beggs tacked on three more runs thanks to a Henryetta error, a single by Haylee Baughn, and two additional errors that extended the Lady Demons’ lead to 5-1.
Tenison added another RBI single in the sixth to cap off her perfect day at the plate. Chloe Cooper and Emma Trimble each doubled to help fuel the offense.
Hamric pitched six innings for Henryetta, giving up seven runs – only two earned – on eight hits. She walked two. Abby Yandell went the distance for Beggs, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out three.
Hamric led Henryetta offensively with three hits in three trips to the plate. Allie Davis added two hits, while Hailey Lewis notched one RBI.
