Bobbie Jo Edwards passed away on March 10, 2025, at the age of 69 in Okmulgee. Born on February 21, 1956, Bobbie spent most of her career serving the community as a beloved waitress at Steak & Eggs, where her warm, fun-loving spirit and dedication to her customers made her a local favorite for over 20 years.
After receiving her GED through the Job Corps, Bobbie entered the workforce at the age of 18 and continued until her diagnosis with COPD necessitated early retirement. Despite her health challenges, Bobbie’s zest for life and love for her friends and family never waned.
She is survived by her mother Mary Rose; sister Connie Solomon; brothers Mike Lillich February 21, 1956 – March 10, 2025
and Tommy Strickland; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bobbie’s legacy of joy and kindness will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. March 22, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church, located at 1327 E. 13th St. in Okmulgee. Those wishing to honor Bobbie’s memory can make donations to the Okmulgee Humane Society.
