Zella Underwood, 78, of Okmulgee, passed peacefully into Jesus’ arms on March 12, 2025. She was surrounded by loved ones when she passed.

Zella was born on July 4, 1946, to Lily and Don Fry in Okmulgee. Zella truly knew that it was more blessed to give than to receive. Her love for her daughter Rhonda knew no bounds,

and she will be greatly missed. Her radiant blue eyes and ability to be a strong prayer warrior for so many were evident to all who met her. She enjoyed reading her Bible, cooking and always taking a good nap.

Although she is gone, she will live forever in our hearts until we meet again, my sweet, loving mother.

She is survived by her daughter Rhonda Costilow and husband Christopher Costilow of Tuscon, Ariz., granddaughter Kassy Schimkitas, granddaughter Eleanor and grandson Neil of Colorado and loving sisters Linda Mc-Cormack, Pat Underwood and Diane Koenig of Okmulgee.
