Dewar Dragons breeze past Stonewall in 12-3 victory

The Dewar Dragons showcased their offensive firepower and disciplined plate approach in a commanding 12-3 victory over Stonewall on Tuesday.

Dewar set the tone early, jumping on the scoreboard in the first inning. Peyton Kilhoffer grounded out to bring in the first run, followed by RBI hits from Skelly Taylor and Stone Yaerger, giving the Dragons a 3-0 lead. In the second inning, Jeron Brison added to the tally with an RBI single, extending the lead to 4-1.

Starting pitcher Luke Hankins led the way on the mound, allowing three runs on four hits over three innings while striking out two. Ayden Been and Stone Yaerger provided solid relief performances, each throwing scoreless innings to secure the win.

Dewar’s offense racked up nine hits, with Aidan Tomlinson, Jeron Brison, and Peyton Kilhoffer each collecting two. Yaerger and Kilhoffer led the team with two RBIs apiece. The Dragons showed patience at the plate, drawing an impressive 14 walks. Defensively, they were flawless, with Braelin Lewis leading the way with five putouts.
