Frank Chisholm, Sr. of Okmulgee, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the age of 78.
Born on December 8, 1946, in Shawnee. Frank was the son of Frank Buck Chisholm and Winona Mae Williams (Wells). He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for four years after being drafted during the Vietnam War, demonstrating the dedication and strength that would define his life.
Frank met the love of his life, Linda Asbury, and together they built a family filled with love, raising their four children- Bonnie Chisholm, Frank Chisholm Jr., Christopher Chisholm, and Crystal Walker. Their life together was a testament to devotion and partnership.
For 20 years, Frank worked as a lineman at East Central Electric, where his strong work ethic and commitment to his craft were well respected. A simple man with a kind heart, he found joy in life’s quiet pleasures. He was an avid NASCAR fan and had an unwavering love for animals, especially December 8, 1946 – March 5, 2025
his dogs-who often held an even bigger place in his heart than people.
Frank is preceded in death by his father, Frank Chisholm; his mother, Winona Williams; his son, Christopher Chisholm; and his daughter, Crystal Walker.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Chisholm; his son, Frank Chisholm Jr.; his daughter-in-law, Sherry Chisholm; his daughter, Bonnie Chisholm; and many other loving relatives and dear friends who will cherish his memory.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Alexander, Jesse Chisholm, Matt Autaubo, Marcus Burtell, Marcus Day, and Topley Powell.
A graveside service honoring Frank’s life will be held at Miller Cemetery in Okmulgee on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 2 p.m.
