Ilyene Ruth Nunn

Ilyene Ruth Nunn, also known as Nany, 87 years old, passed away early Saturday morning, March 1, 2025, in her home in Morris. Ilyene was born in Ft. Smith, Ark. on September 29, 1937. She lived a beautiful life leaving behind cherished family and friends.

In 1979, Ilyene started working as a bank teller for Citizen Bank. She was known throughout the town for her sweet greeting through the drivethrough window and her fast-counting fingers. Shortly after retiring in 2001, she and Chuck moved to Porum Landing where they enjoyed meeting new friends, getting reacquainted with old friends and enjoying family when they visited.

She was an active member of the Church of Christ in Morris and Porum, and enjoyed crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Allen Nunn, Sr. (Chuck), whom she was married to for 57 years, her parents, Lahoma (Stanford) Crosser and Carl Robert Crosser and her brother, Bob Crosser.

Ilyene is survived by her sister, Karen Clayton.

Also, Ilyene is survived by her children Valerie and husband, Donnie Allison; Gene Allen Nunn Jr. and wife, Jubilyn (Bing); Glena and husband, Dan Blevins; and Neci September 29, 1937 – March 1, 2025

Marshall/Clark and husband Jon; and a host of grandchildren, Vanetta and husband, Gerald Shaw Grandson; DG Allison and wife, Evanna; Patience Jay and husband, Kendall Dykes; Chase Nunn and wife, Krystal; Shelby Jo Nunn; Tyler Jet Nunn; Misty and husband, Ryan Green; Heather and husband, Jamie Hill; Brittany and husband, Jason Blair; Andrea Blevins Kendra and husband, Ryan Mitchell; Kayla Beasley/Betz and husband Stephen Betz; 19 great-grandchildren, Jordan, Devon, and Easton Shaw; Bennett, Palmer, Hendrix and Jovie Dykes; Troy Nunn; Riley, Hanna and Rachel Green; Jacob and Hailey Hill; Bradon and Tripp Blair; Brylee and Xander Mitchell; Jaxson and Cruz Beasley; Brantley and Mila Betz; five bonus grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Morris Church of Christ, 107 S. Hughes, in Morris.
