The Okmulgee County Board of Commissioners convened for their regular meeting on Monday and covered a short agenda.

Agenda items approved were:

• County Officers Reports – County Clerk and Health Department for February.

• Blanket Purchase Orders – District 3, Kenne- dy Lumber: $500; District 1, Dollar General: $100; General Government, Cookson Hills: $1,500, Dildine Lawn Care: $600; Emergency Management, Dildine Lawn Care: $600; County Health Department, Muscogee Nation: $500, Amazon: $5,000.

• Utility Permits – Rural Water District 2 with District 1 for water line installation.

-The commissioners approved action for CREOKS to submit bid proposal for the 781 Grant.

The board also approved Invitation to Bid #2 for Erosion Control/ Embankment Repair on Dentonville Road. This project will help with erosion control and embankment repair. Commissioners were informed that a newly built bridge over Deep Fork River lacked riprap (protective rock covering) on the south side, causing erosion and potential structural instability.

CED (Circuit Engineering District) officials inspected the site and warned that heavy rainfall could cause further damage. The county is seeking bid proposals for the necessary repairs, as it does not have the manpower to complete the work quickly.

Emergency Management Director Jeffrey Moore was unable to attend. County fire departments were busy over the weekends with grass fires in the county.
