Okmulgee Public Works crews have been busy installing more lights in downtown Okmulgee this week. Okmulgee Main Street and the City of Okmulgee, along with community partners, partnered in the “Let There Be Light” Project to put lights down 6th Street. Beginning in 2022, the lights now cover almost all of downtown, and if you haven’t driven downtown at night, the lights add a nostalgic and beautiful experience. The work this week installed lights in two additional blocks east from Muskogee Street.
