As part of an extensive interview and application process, Okmulgee FFA President LeAundre Delonia was recently selected as one of three final state officer candidates for Northeast Area Vice President for the Oklahoma FFA State Association for the 2025-26 school year.
LeAundre participated in the state nominating committee process this past weekend in Oklahoma City, having to present a speech, participate in 10 round-robin style interviews and complete a general FFA knowledge exam and written practicum. He was among 10 other highly qualified FFA members from across the northeast area vying for one of the final three candidate positions.
“This is a huge step, and I am excited to have this opportunity,” Delonia said. “I am grateful for the Lord’s guidance, favor and strength throughout this process and look forward to meeting new FFA members and ensuring they feel seen, heard and valued,” Delonia said.
“Five years of hard work and dedication to FFA has brought LeAundre to this moment,” said Okmulgee FFA advisor Tim Taylor. “We are excited to see him accomplish this goal of becoming a state officer candidate, and are even more excited to see the impacts this may have on other current and future Okmulgee FFA members as they set their goals and aspirations in the service of others.”
In May, the state officer team elections will be held during the Oklahoma FFA State Convention at the BOK Center in Tulsa.
Okmulgee FFA has only had two Oklahoma FFA State Officers in its history: Bill Bearden, Jr. (Reporter 1973-1974) and Randy Ray (Reporter 19741975).
