Voters across Okmulgee County cast their ballots on Feb. 11, deciding key races and propositions for county commissioner, city council and school board positions, as well as school bond measures. Below are the unofficial results from the election.

— County Commissioner District No. 1 (Unexpired Term)

With all seven precincts reporting, Ernie Ferreira secured a decisive victory over Jacob Branson in the Republican primary for Okmulgee County Commissioner District No. 1. Ferreira captured 67.42% of the vote (327 votes), while Branson received 32.58% (158 votes).

In the race for Office No. 5 on the Beggs Public Schools Board of Education, Melanie Harvey was the top vote getter, with 46.32% of the ballots cast for her, followed by Jessie Spring and Rick Mitchell.

• Melanie Harvey – 46.32% (239 votes)

• Jessie Spring – 34.69% (179 votes)

• Rick Mitchell – 18.99% (98 votes) — City of Okmulgee Councilmember at Large

The election for the City of Okmulgee Councilmember at Large seat resulted in a victory for Mickey Baldwin, who received 76.59% of the vote (229 votes) over Eddie Nelson (23.41%, 70 votes).

• Eddie Nelson – 23.41% (70 votes) — Preston Public Schools Bond Proposition Voters in the Preston Public Schools district passed a bond proposition with 69.70% (69 votes) in favor, while 30.30% (30 votes) voted against.

The Wilson Public Schools bond proposition also passed, with 72.22% (39 votes) supporting the measure and 27.78% (15 votes) opposing it.
