Okmulgee Fire Department’s B Shift responded swiftly to a fire at a prefab building next to Okmulgee Primary School over the weekend, preventing the flames from spreading to the breezeway of the main buildings. Firefighters contained the blaze before it caused significant damage. As a result of the fire, the school was closed Monday and Tuesday for cleanup and assessment. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
