Chamber welcomes members

The Okmulgee Chamber of Commerce is kicking off 2025 with exciting updates, welcoming new businesses to its growing network and offering valuable events for local professionals. Chamber Director Sarah Rhodes shared her enthusiasm for the new members and upcoming opportunities.

“We are thrilled to start the new year with the addition of twelve outstanding businesses to our Chamber family,” Rhodes said. “These businesses bring a wealth of talent, services, and passion to Okmulgee, and we can’t wait to support and collaborate with them.”

The Chamber proudly welcomes the following new members for January:

• Jessinna Factor Rhodes encouraged the community to support these businesses and noted that the Chamber is always open to welcoming more members.

• When: Monday, Feb. 24, 5-7 p.m.

• Where: Midge & Millie’s Coffee Shop & Booksellers, 813 E. 6th Street “Our Chamber After Hours event is a fantastic way for business owners, professionals and community members to connect in a relaxed setting,” Rhodes said. “We’ll have refreshments, and it’s the perfect opportunity to strengthen relationships and build new connections. We look forward to seeing everyone there.”

— Tools for Your Business

• When: Thursday, Feb. 27, 5-8 p.m.

• Where: Okmulgee Community Center Designed to help entrepreneurs and small business owners succeed, this free interactive event will feature local business and community leaders who will offer insight through a unique speed-dating format. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in 10-minute Q&A sessions to ask key questions and identify crucial contacts to help them achieve their business goals.

“If you are looking to grow, launch, or expand your business, this is a must-attend event,” Rhodes said. “We want to provide the tools and networking opportunities that can make a real difference in our local economy.”

– The Chamber is also promoting two important blood drives in partnership with the Oklahoma Blood Institute: — Okmulgee County Family YMCA Blood Drive

• When: Monday, Feb. 17, 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

• Where: Okmulgee County Family YMCA — MN Department of Housing Blood Drive • When: Monday, Feb. 17, 12-4 p.m.

• Where: MN Dept. of Housing Conference Room 257 -To make an appointment, call 877340-8777 or visit obi.org.

Donating blood is a simple yet powerful way to give back to the community, and the Chamber encourages everyone who can to come out and donate. Your contribution could help save a life.
