Jack Jay Willis passed away at the age of 85 on the evening of January 30, 2025, in Okmulgee. He was born June 14, 1939, in Glendale, Calif. to John and Neva (Harris) Willis.
Fresh out of high school, Jack joined and served in the United States Coast Guard proudly serving his country from December 1958 through June 1960. He then moved into a lifelong career in finance. After many years of learning in the financial arena, he eventually opened and ran his own mortgage company. On May 9, 1992, he married the love of his life, Patricia, and together they built a life filled with love and adventure. They lived in several states before retiring from their mortgage company in 2001 and making Okmulgee, their forever home in 2005.
Jack had a passion for genealogy, spending countless hours researching his family’s history. He also enjoyed watching classic westerns, reading, traveling, and playing golf. A true June 14, 1939 – January 30, 2025
lover of technology, he could often be found at his computer learning and exploring new interests.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Neva, sister Donna Rife and one great-grandson.
Jack is survived by his wife Patricia, of 32 years, daughter Cari Campbell and husband David, son Jay Willis and wife Colleen, and daughters Valerie Wright and husband Tony, and Teresa Durocher and husband John; grandchildren Katherine, Gregory, Christopher and Jeremy; Christopher and Paige; Cody, Annette Lorraine, Levi, and Gavin; Kathleen, Jack, Michael, Steven, Jennifer, Thomas, Rachel, and Benjamin, along with 20 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

A memorial service for Jack will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Clearview Baptist Church in Okmulgee, with Pastor Randy Mathews officiating.
