Tommy Lee Ryder, a longtime Okmulgee resident, passed away on January 25, 2025, in Tulsa at 55 years of age. He was born on September 13, 1969, to Joe Ryder and Carol Sue (Davis) Casey.
A passionate fisherman and die-hard OU football and softball fan, Tommy found joys in the simple things. He was a very lovable person and a true social butterfly that enjoyed keeping good company around. He liked making others smile and laugh, whether it was by hearing him play his harmonica or dancing crazy like no one was watching. Tommy had a love for his family that was like no other. You never had to question his love for you. He truly loved watching his grandchildren grow. Tommy was a member of the Okmulgee VFW for many years.
Tommy is preceded in death by both parents, Joe Ryder and Carol Sue, stepfather, Phil Casey, brother, Billy Ryder, sister, Lisa Ryder, his paternal and maternal grandparents and his best friend, James Lee.
Survivors include his daughters, Amber Denney-Ryder and husband Nicholas Gilliland, Shy’Ane Laughlin and husband Clinton, CeCe Ryder- September 13, 1969 – January 25, 2025
Barger and husband Dawson, Shanel Skinner and husband Talon, and Ashtin Denney, grandchildren, Nirvana Gilliland, Genesis Gilliland, Ozzy Lee, Jaynee Laughlin, Maddix Skinner, Marlee Skinner, Maxwell Skinner, and Kiedis Davis, brother, Ricky Ryder and wife Robin, sisters, Tronia Ryder and significant other Billy, Amber Scott and husband Matt, and Heather Rake and husband Lucas, special nieces, Bridget Shrum, Danielle Williams, and Megan Williams, special nephew, Justin Williams, along with many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, family members and loving friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at McClendon- Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee, with Pastor Rocky Ausbrooks officiating.
