Excitement builds for 2025 MN Invitational

Basketball fans are gearing up for the highly anticipated Muscogee Nation Basketball Invitational, set to take place from Jan. 23-25 at 2950 Warrior Rd. in Okmulgee. The tournament will showcase both boys’ and girls’ teams in a thrilling bracket- style competition featuring eight schools, all competing for top honors.

— Girls’ Tournament Preview The action tips off on Thursday, Jan. 23, with four exciting matchups:

• Hartshorne vs. Latta JV at 5:40 p.m.

• Morris vs. Wilson at 8:20 p.m.

• Silo vs. Preston at 3 p.m.

• Allen vs. Wewoka at 12:20 p.m.

Winners from the first round will move on to the semifinals scheduled for Friday, Jan. 24, with games at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Teams that advance to the finals will face off on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 6:30 p.m., while consolation games for third and seventh places will be held earlier in the day.

The boys’ division promises equally intense competition, kicking off on Thursday, Jan. 23:

• Wilson vs. Morris at 11 a.m.

• Allen vs. Wewoka at 1:40 p.m.

• Hartshorne vs. Silo at 4:20 p.m.

• Preston vs. Latta at 7 p.m. Semi-finals are slated for Friday, Jan. 24, at 5:40 p.m. and 8:20 p.m., with the championship showdown set for Saturday, Jan. 25, at 8 p.m. Placement games for third and seventh places will also take place earlier on Saturday.

The tournament will be hosted at the Muscogee Nation’s state-of-the-art venue in Okmulgee, providing fans an opportunity to support their favorite teams in a competitive atmosphere. Admission is $5, and only OSSAA passes will be accepted. Teams listed on the top of the brackets will wear white jerseys during games.
