City of Okmulgee releases 2025 sanitation schedule

The City of Okmulgee has announced its 2025 sanitation trash removal schedule, outlining holiday adjustments for both polycart and commercial dumpster customers. These changes ensure that residents and businesses are informed about service modifications during observed holidays. Below is a detailed breakdown of the routes and adjustments:

Polycart Customers

For residents using polycart services, the following holidays will be observed, with no trash removal on these dates:

• Thanksgiving Day: Thursday, Nov. 27 – Monday through Wednesday routes will run as normal. Thursday and Friday routes will run one day later than usual, with Friday’s pickup occurring Saturday.

• Christmas Day: Thursday, Dec. 25 – Monday through Wednesday routes will run as normal. Thursday and Friday routes will run one day later than usual, with Friday’s pickup occurring Saturday.

— Commercial Dumpster Customers Commercial dumpster customers will see route changes for the following observed holidays in 2025:

• Jan. 20, Feb. 17, May 26 & Sept. 1: Monday routes will run Tuesday.

• April 18: Friday routes will run Thursday.

• June 19: Thursday routes will run Friday.

• July 4: Friday routes will run Thursday.

• Nov. 11: Tuesday routes will run Wednesday.

• Thanksgiving Week: Crews will run on Thanksgiving Day.

• Christmas Week: Crews will run on Christmas Eve.
