Juanita Emma Rigney, of Okmulgee, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the age of 98. Juanita was born on June 7, 1926, in Inola to her parents, Joseph and Annie (Tadlock) Mc-Donald. In recognition of her hard work, Juanita was honored as an Outstanding Teacher by the state of Oklahoma. She also served as vice president of the local teachers’ organization, always working to improve education for both students and teachers.

Outside of her teaching career, Juanita was an active member of her community. She led a Bible study group for young people, sharing her faith and wisdom with others. Her kindness, generosity, and love for people touched the hearts of many, and her influence as a teacher and mentor will be remembered for years to come.

Juanita was passionate about many things, including cooking, sewing, fishing, and traveling. Her home was always filled with wonderful meals, June 7, 1926 – December 9, 2024
