Kelly Metcalfe

Kelly Metcalfe, 61, a resident of Okmulgee, was taken home to our Lord on November 22, 2024, at 8 a.m. from a terrible car accident. She was born on June 15, 1963, in Tulsa,to Dale and Shirley Woodard.

Kelly was a devoted wife to her husband, Doug Metcalf; and a loving mother to Austin Young, David Mccullough, Cody Metcalfe, Dylan Mccullough, and Chelsea Herring. She also cherished her grandchildren, Madalyn, Hadley, and Penelope. She is preceeded in death by her mother Shirley Woodard. She is survived by her brother Jimmy Woodard; father Dale Woodard; all her children, grandchildren, and many cousins.

Throughout her life, Kelly was a dedicated heavy equipment operator for many years where she met the love of her life, Doug Metcalfe. Kelly also worked at the Okmulgee Courthouse for 13 years where she shined bright and moved up in ranks very quickly.

Kelly’s most recent job position was at Cox Cash Saver in Okmulgee, where she continued to demonstrate her strong work ethic and dedication, becoming a June 15, 1963 – November 22, 2024

valued member of the team. Outside of her professional career, she was deeply involved in her church community, a devoted Christian, and was known for her generosity, kindness, and unwavering support of others.

She was an avid gardener, a lover of Nascar, dirt bike enthusiast, and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially in the summer time enjoying the lake or having a bon fire at her house. Her positive attitude and strength in the face of adversity were an inspiration to everyone who knew her.

She will be forever missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

A celebration of life service for Kelly will be held at The Refuge Church in Okmulgee, located at 1206 W. 5th Street, on December 14 at 2 p.m. Floral arrangements may be sent to the church.
