Commissioner post draws 4 candidates

The filing period for school, city, and county posts concluded Wednesday, with multiple candidates stepping forward to serve their communities.

The District 1 County Commissioner post drew four candidates: Ernie Ferreira, Jacob Branson, Chip Smalley and Barbarbra Cooks.

The following have announced their candidacy to the Okmulgee County Election Board Dec. 2-4:
