Kathryn ‘Kate’ Louise Creason

Kathyrn “Kate” Louise Castator Creason, was born on February 4, 1941, in Bristow to Sam and Marie Castator and departed this world on November 26, 2024, at the age of 83.

Kate married Calvin Creason on June 8, 1957, in Mounds, and to this union three children were born.

She lived most of her life in Beggs, where she was a homemaker. She worked in her mother’s laundromat (Marie’s Laundry Mat) in Beggs, First Baptist Church of Beggs and later at the school daycare. Kate was a cherished member of the Beggs community.

Kate’s faith was the foundation of her life. She and Calvin were proud members of the First Baptist Church of Beggs, where Kate remained a faithful and active member throughout her life. Her commitment to her faith and her community was unwavering.

Kate found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved shopping and exploring garage sales, always on the hunt for a bargain or a unique find. At home, she expressed her love through cooking and tending to her household. Her garden was her sanctuary, where she found peace and purpose in nurturing life.

Kate is preceded in death by her parents Sam and Marie, husband Calvin Creason, son Sammy Glen Creason, brother Sam Castator and sister Billie June Meyer, father and mother in law Vernard and Alma Creason, and brother in law Glen Creason. She is survived by son Chris Creason and wife Rachel of Beggs, daughter Renee Callahan and husband Allen of Nuyaka, eight grandchildren Ginger Morris and husband February 4, 1941 – November 26, 2024

Drew, Brice Callahan and wife Stephanie, Paton Callahan and wife Ashleigh, Koby Creason, Chad Creason and wife Jordan, Cooper Rouk, Harley Holbrook and husband Christain and Kelcey Creason, 14 great-grandchildren, brother in law, Wayne Creason and wife Clois, sister in laws, Dorothy Creason and Janie Castator, along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Kathryn will be lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, mother and friend, as well as a cornerstone of her community.

Visitation will be held from 1-6 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2024, at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Beggs, with Pastor Chris Gore officiating. Interment will follow at Duck Creek Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Koby Creason, Chad Creason, Paton Callahan, Brice Callahan, Drew Morris, Copper Rouk and Dallas Collins. Honorary Casket bearers will be Lincoln Creason, Luke Morris, Levi Morris, Lane Morris Calvin Callahan and Coy Callahan.

Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs. Memories, condolences, photos and videos may be shared with the family on Kathyrn’s Tribute Page at www.mcclendon- winters.com.
