Celebrate Shop Small Saturday

Embrace the holiday spirit and show your support for local businesses during Shop Small Saturday in Okmulgee. This nationwide event encourages communities to rally behind their small businesses and strengthen local economies.

This year, Okmulgee Main Street is pulling out all the stops by combining Shop Small Saturday with the Okmulgee Times Cookie Crawl once again, according to Main Street Director Melinda De Santo. Starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, the event will take over historic downtown Okmulgee with festive cheer, delicious treats and incredible opportunities to win big while shopping local.

— What’s Happening?

• The first 60 visitors to Midge & Millie’s Coffee Shop (813 E. 6th Street) will receive exclusive Shop Small bags, containing everything you need to participate in the Sparkle Shopping Spree, including a complete list of the 22 participating businesses.

• For every $10 spent at a participating business, shoppers will earn one raffle ticket.

Okmulgee Main Street will be awarding $1,700 in Main Street Bucks and $500 in cash prizes during weekly raffles every Thursday through Dec. 16. The excitement builds to the grand prize giveaway on Dec. 16, where winners must be present to claim their prizes.

— Why Shop Local?

Shopping local is more than just a holiday trend – it’s a way to support the heart of the community. Small businesses in Okmulgee play a vital role in creating jobs, preserving local character, and giving back to the area. When you shop locally, your dollars stay local, helping to fund schools, parks and other community projects.

By participating in Shop Small Saturday and the Sparkle Shopping Spree, you’re not just buying gifts – you’re investing in the future of Okmulgee.

— Join the Festivities

Don’t miss out on this holiday tradition. Enjoy the holiday season with your favorite local businesses, take home some tasty Main Street cookies and enter for a chance to win incredible prizes. Come shop, support and sparkle with us in downtown Okmulgee.
