Jerry Walker

Jerry Alan Walker was born on July 16, 1965, and entered his eternal home with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 8, 2024.

Jerry was born in Okemah and was the youngest son of Bobby Don Walker and Billie Dee Walker (Wood). Jerry grew up in Haydenville and attended Mason Public School. Following his graduation from MHS in 1983, Jerry became a farmer. He was also the co-owner of Walker Mowing Company with his brother, Bobby.

Jerry was the loving and devoted husband of Barbie Dawn Dodson. They made their home in Okmulgee and in May of 2008, Jerry and Barbie welcomed their one and only son, Logan Alan Walker into the world. Jerry and Barbie were happily married for 23 years.

Jerry is preceded in death by is parents Bobby Don and Billie Dee Walker, his sister Patsy Killman, his brother Noel Armstrong, and nephew Clint Armstrong.

Jerry is survived his wife Barbie, and son Logan, of the home; his brother, Bobby Walker of Haydenville; his brother L.D. Armstrong of Taft, Calif.; his nephews Paul Armstrong of Bakersfield, Calif., Noel Armstrong of Taft, Calif., Michael Armstrong of Taft, Calif., Mackey Killman July 16, 1965 – November 8, 2024

of Okemah and Reese Walker of Inola; his nieces Clarissa Armstrong of Okemah, Vicki Killman of Los Angeles and Maegan Walker of Skiatook; mother-in-law, Retha Dodson of Okmulgee; father-in-law Mike Dodson and wife Kori of Okemah; and sistersin- law Rachel Pierce of Henryetta and Leeann Dodson of Okmulgee. Jerry is also survived by many loved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of close friends.

Jerry was one of those people who truly despised being the center of attention. In order to honor one of Jerry’s final requests, there will be no services held.
