Obituaries

Anna Lee Hultman

Anna Lee Hultman, 91, of Bartlesville, passed away on October 31, 2024. She was born on March 5, 1933, in Hoffman to Louis and Margaret Marie (Ackerman) Hood. Anna spent most of her childhood in the Okmulgee County community. She graduated high school from Morris High School in May of 1951.

Anna married James Robert Hultman on August 13, 1960, at Morris First Baptist Church. The couple lived in Henryetta, before moving to Clovis, N.M. and Lindsay, as James’ career took them to various places. They finally settled in Bartlesville in July of 1968, where they continued to raise their family.

Anna worked for Bell Telephone Company for a short time before moving on to a job she truly enjoyed. She loved working with the public and held positions at TG&Y and Braum’s, where she worked for many years as an assistant manager before retiring. In her spare time, she enjoyed visiting the local casino and trying her luck on the penny slots. She also dabbled in horse races and dog racing. Anna was an avid fan of all things Oklahoma State – football, basketball, baseball, softball and the list goes on.

Anna is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Margaret; her husband, James; and siblings John Hood, Helena Chadwick, Lorne Casselman, and Louis “Sonny” Hood, Jr.

She is survived by March 5, 1933 – October 31, 2024

her children: James “Jim” Hultman, Darlene Thornton and husband Tony, Terry Hultman and wife Anne C.; grandchildren: James “Jimmy” Hultman, Amy Anderson, Mark Hultman, Dustin Hultman, Sinead Hultman, Taryan Thornton, Trevour Thornton, Colton Thornton, and Hayden Thornton; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Anna will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 15, 2024, at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following at Council Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The Journey Home – 900 Washington Blvd, Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74006, www. thejourneyhomeok.org.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mc-Clendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Memories, condolences, photos and videos may be shared with the family on Anna’s Tribute Page at www.mcclendon- winters.com.
