Grace Darlene Lewis

Grace Darlene Lewis was born April 28, 1933, to Grace Lane (Ritchey) Lewis and Richard Earl Lewis of Morris. She passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024, in Tulsa.

Darlene graduated from Morris High School in May of 1951 as valedictorian of that class. She attended Oklahoma State University in Okmulgee for one year and then went to work at the Okmulgee Refinery until the refinery’s closure in 1982, then for the District Attorney Office until retiring on January 1, 2007.

Darlene was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church of Morris. She was saved and baptized at First Baptist Church of Morris at the age of 10 and served as Sunday School teacher and in the music programs of these churches.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Richard Wayne Lewis; one sister, Marilyn Jean (Lewis) April 28, 1933 – October 30, 2024

Middleton and a brother-in-law, Lawrence Ray Middleton.

Friends may visit the funeral home on Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 1-5 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2024, at Trinity Baptist Church of Morris, with Rev. Kendell Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at Okmulgee Cemetery.
