Mary Frances Christian

Mary Frances Christian passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024, in Glenpool at 97 years of age. She was born Wednesday, July 27, 1927, in Breckenridge, Texas to the late Walter N. Jeffress and Margaret E. (Evans) Jeffress.

Mary moved with her family to Morris in 1933 and graduated from Morris High School in 1945. Frances married Hugh Christian on August 27, 1948, in Seminole. Hugh and Frances resided in several communities including Kansas City, Wichita, Duncan, Morris and Ardmore. Frances enjoyed gardening and doing needlepoint, and she loved her Scottish Terriers. She was also a huge OU fan.

Preceding Frances in death were her parents, husband Hugh Christian and brother Walter Jeffress.

Survivors include her brother, Joe Bob Jeffress and wife Alice, niece and nephew, Shannon Price and husband Lance and July 27, 1927 – September 28, 2024

Michael Jeffress and wife Tracy, great nieces and nephews, Emily Price, Chandler Price, Allison Greene and Tate Jeffress and greatgreat niece and nephew, Alice Price and Tate Jeffress.

A committal service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2024, at the Morris Cemetery Chapel, with Rev. Diana Northcutt officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mc-Clendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Memories, condolences, photos and videos may be shared with the family on Frances’ Tribute Page at www.mcclendon- winters.com.
