A group of Beggs students and adults met Wednesday morning around the flagpole at Golden Demon Stadium to share a moment of prayer for their friends, families, teachers, school and nation. According to the SYATP website, See You at the Pole, the global day of student prayer, began in 1990 as a grass roots movement with ten students praying at their school. Decades later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September. The prayer rally is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event. This year’s rally was organized by youth at Crossroads Baptist Church and Beggs First Assembly of God. Several other events were held around the county including ones at Schulter Schools and Henryetta Schools.
