Stuart dominates Dewar in shutout

In a commanding performance, the Stuart Lady Hornets secured a 7-0 victory over the Dewar Lady Dragons on Monday. Stuart built their lead steadily throughout the game, never relinquishing control after an early offensive surge.

Stuart Lady Hornets wasted no time getting on the board, with Reagan Wade’s single and a subse- quent groundout by Paris Stanford contributing to their first-inning lead. The offensive momentum continued, bolstered by consistent hitting and strategic base-running.

Reagan Dominic pitched a spectacular game for Stuart, holding Dewar hitless over five innings while striking out five batters and allowing only one walk. On the opposing mound, Brooke Thomas of Dewar faced tough opposition, yielding two runs on three hits over four innings, with three strikeouts and one walk.

Key contributors at the plate for Stuart included Reagan Wade, Keelie Treat, Ambree House and Reagan Dominic, each collecting two hits. Defensive prowess was equally impressive, with Paris Stanford making 10 plays without an error.

— Lincoln Christian defeats Lady Demons In a closely contested matchup, the Lincoln Christian Bulldogs emerged victorious with a dramatic 9-8 win over the Golden Demons on Monday. The game culminated in a walk-off play in the bottom of the seventh inning, securing Lincoln Christian’s hard-fought victory.

Golden Demons took an early lead, with standout performances from Addison Dossett, who drove in four runs and contributed significantly at the plate and on the mound. However, Lincoln Christian turned the tide with a decisive fourth inning, scoring six runs on six hits to take a commanding lead.

The game remained tight throughout, with Golden Demons mounting a late comeback effort that included tying the game at eight in the top of the seventh inning. Ultimately, a critical error in the bottom of the seventh allowed Lincoln Christian to clinch the win.

Haylee DeLozier pitched a complete game for Lincoln Christian, striking out seven batters and walking 14, while allowing eight runs (seven earned) on five hits. Addison Dossett, who also pitched six innings, took the loss for the Golden Demons despite a strong effort, yielding five earned runs on 11 hits.

Offensive leaders for Lincoln Christian included Brooklyn Malone and Campbell Ryan, each with three hits, while Brooklyn Malone drove in two crucial runs. The win underscores Lincoln Christian’s resilience and offensive prowess, securing another important victory in their season campaign. — Okemah overpowers Morris

The Okemah Lady Panthers showcased their offensive firepower in a dominant 11-1 victory over the Morris Lady Eagles on Monday, highlighted by a decisive six-run fourth inning.

Morris got off to a promising start, scoring early in the first inning, but Okemah quickly responded and seized control with a series of well-timed hits and aggressive baserunning. The Lady Panthers capitalized on opportunities throughout the game, building their lead steadily.

Jaci Galindo led Okemah on the mound, limiting Morris to one hit and one run over four innings while striking out five batters. Paige Hall started for Morris, pitching three and one-third innings and allowing 11 runs (two earned) on five hits.
