Wilson Tigers dominate Watts, 54-0

The Wilson Tigers continued their hot streak, shutting out the Watts Engineers 54-0 on the road Friday. The Tigers, who have been dominant this season, improved to a perfect 3-0 record with their latest win. Their powerful offense, which has scored 31 or more points in each of their last three games, was on full display once again. Meanwhile, Watts fell to 1-2 with the loss.

Wilson-Henryetta’s victory marks their fourth straight road win, dating back to last season, as the Tigers show no signs of slowing down. They’ll take on the Weleetka Outlaws next, hitting the road again for a 7 p.m. game this Friday. Weleetka will have its hands full against the high-powered Tigers offense, who are averaging nearly 46 points per game.

— Eagles drop Homecoming game, face Henryetta in Walker Cup

The Morris Eagles’ struggles continued as they fell to the Haskell Haymakers 28-8 in their Homecoming game on Friday. The loss extends Morris’ winless start to the season, dropping them to 0-3. Haskell’s standout player, PJ Faul, was the key to victory, rushing for 201 yards and four touchdowns, including a 56-yard breakaway score.

Despite the disappointment, the Eagles will look to bounce back in their next game against county rivals Henryetta Knights. The two teams will face off for the coveted Walker Cup, a traveling trophy honoring John Walker, who served as an administrator and coach for both schools. The Walker Cup rivalry has become a fierce contest, with Henryetta taking the trophy last year after a 20-8 win. The game kicks off Friday at 7:00 p.m. in Henryetta.

— Golden Demons crush Okmulgee, 55-0 The Beggs Demons continued their dominant season, shutting out the Okmulgee Bulldogs 55-0 on Friday night. With the victory, Beggs improves to 3-0 and looks poised for a strong run in district play. The Demons have been nearly unstoppable this season, combining a potent offense with a rock-solid defense.

Next, Beggs will face the Community Christian Royals from Norman in a 2A-II District 2 challenge on Friday. Community Christian enters the game with a 1-2 record after a recent 33-12 victory over Casady.

Meanwhile, Okmulgee (0-3) will prepare for another tough matchup against Roland (0-3), who is coming off a 36-13 loss to Central Sallisaw.

This Friday’s games promise more exciting high school football action, with several key matchups on the horizon. The undefeated Wilson-Henryetta Tigers face Weleetka, Morris looks to claim the Walker Cup against Henryetta, and Beggs will try to maintain their perfect season against Community Christian. Fans can expect fierce competition as teams battle for district supremacy and local pride.
