Hattie Mae Robertson

Hattie Mae Robertson passed away Friday, September 6, 2024, in Tulsa. She was born Thursday, October 29, 1936, to Bill Henson and Alda Pearl (Roberts) Henson in Okmulgee.

Hattie was a longtime member of Crosstown Church. She was an ordained minister who counseled and married many loved ones. She spoke at many conferences and was part of the jail ministry for years. God, faith and family was where she stood and where her warrior heart fought the good fight.

Hattie was a single mother who raised three girls. She had many jobs and made countless friends along the way, some of these friendships lasting over 60 years. To know her was to love her. She wrote songs and poetry, many of which depicted the joy and struggles in her life journey.

In 1976, Hattie married the love of her life, Tom Robertson. Tom brought her two more daughters to love. He would be her true partner in life and spend the next 48 years making her dreams come true.

Mother, wife, friend. Every part of her was wrapped in love and faith. She was a true matriarch and it reached far beyond her family. Her “Tribe” is vast and her memory lives on in many.
