The City of Okmulgee will host its 2024 electronic waste recycling event for current utility account holders. The event will take place at the Okmulgee Recycling Center, located at 301 E. 3rd Street, on Friday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
Participants must present a recent water bill and photo ID.
Attendees can dispose of unwanted electronic items such:
• Televisions
• Computers
• Computer Monitors
• Fax Machines
• Cell Phones
• Printers
• Microwave Ovens
• Radios
• Stereos Speakers
• Small Electric Appliances • Telephone Items that will not be accepted are anything that contains refrigerants, fuel or radiation source.
Only cash will be accepted.
There is a $25 charge per TV and a $5 charge for CRT monitors, as the City of Okmulgee will be paying fees now required by the recycler for TVs and monitors collected at this event.
Employees of the city will be on hand to provide assistance if needed.
