The Harvest Spoon Chili Festival is set for Saturday, Oct. 12, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Okmulgee. The event will feature a marketplace celebrating all things chili, a chili cook-off, hot pepper eating contest, live music and a 5K fun run. Vendor spots are still available.
The Chili Fest 5K Run, hosted by the Okmulgee Family YMCA, will kick off at 9 a.m. with options for a 5K run or a 1-mile fun run. The $35 entry fee includes a long-sleeve T-shirt and a chili tasting kit. Participants 8 years and older are welcome. For more details or to sign up, contact K.
