In their season opener on Saturday, the Lady Demons secured a 3-0 victory over Stonewall, thanks to a stellar performance from Addison Dossett.

Dossett dominated the mound, striking out 13 batters while allowing just one hit and no runs over seven innings. She also walked two batters.

Both teams displayed strong pitching, with the Lady Demons’ pitchers recording 13 strikeouts and Stonewall notching 14.

Beggs broke the scoreless tie in the fourth inning when Emma Trimble’s single drove in the game’s first run. Trimble and Dossett each contributed one RBI to the win.

Dossett led the Lady Demons offensively with a 2-for-3 perf o rma n c e at the plate, while Angel Aylor stole four bases and the team as a whole stole six bases. Defensively, the Lady Demons were flawless, not committing any errors, with Ruby Tenison making a game-high 13 plays.
