2024 high school grads urged to apply for scholarship

Dear Class of 2024 High School Graduates,

Congratulations on reaching this significant milestone in your academic journey! The Helping Our People Excel Foundation is excited to announce our scholarship opportunity for 2024 High School graduates, designed to support and empower outstanding individuals in our community. We believe in fostering a brighter future through education and financial literacy, and we are thrilled to offer this opportunity to deserving students who have demonstrated excellence in both their studies and personal growth.

— Scholarship Details

To apply for the scholarship, please write an essay in MLA format, responding to the following prompts:

• What Makes You Smile, and Why?

• Who in Your Community Inspired You to Be a Great Person?

• What Type of Financial Literacy Education Did You Receive in High School, and How Much Did You Retain?

— Essay Guidelines

Your essay must be a minimum of 1,100 words and address all three prompts. Please ensure your essay is well-structured and demonstrates thoughtful, insightful, and original responses. Use proper MLA formatting, including citations for any external sources used. Plagiarism will result in disqualification.

— Application Requirements

In addition to your essay, please submit the following documents:

• Your high school transcript showcasing your academic achievements and proof of your graduation date.

• A valid address, phone number, and email to be reached for further questions or information.

• Any community service documents or awards you have received during 9th-12th grade.

— Eligibility Criteria

This scholarship is open to students who graduated from high school in May 2024 in the zip code 74447.

— Submission Instructions Please submit your essay and supporting documents in PDF format via email to HOPE74447@gmail.com. The subject line should read: “HOPE Foundation Scholarship Application – [Your Full Name]”. The deadline for submissions is Aug. 23, 2024.

— Selection Process

Our foundation board members will review all applications thoroughly. Applicants will be evaluated based on their academic achievements, community involvement, and essay responses. Winners will be notified via email and mail by Aug. 31, 2024.

— Scholarship Award

The Helping Our People Excel Foundation is pleased to offer $200 to five selected recipients. This scholarship award will be presented in the form of a check at an awards ceremony.

Our mission is to provide access to resources that enable personal and community growth, helping individuals reach their full potential.
