Construction Timeline Given for First Two Phases of New ecoLINK Fiber Internet Project
By Joshua

ecoLINK Fiber, a leading provider of high-speed internet services powered by East Central Electric Cooperative, is thrilled to announce a construction timeline for the first two phases of its four phase new project aimed at bringing reliable fiber internet to the underserved. Phase 1 of the project is on track for completion by the end of 2024, with Phase 2 projected to conclude by the end of 2025.

The timeline has been established to fulfill grant requirements due to ecoLINK being awarded grant monies from CAF II (Connect America Fund II), RDOF (Rural Digital Opportunity Fund) and most recently ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) to extend services beyond the East Central Electric Cooperative service territory boundaries.

Phase 1 Completion: End of 2024

By the end of 2024, ecoLINK Fiber will complete Phase 1 of its project, delivering fiber internet to the following areas:

Okmulgee County: Morris, Schulter, Henryetta

Okfuskee County: Clearview, Weleetka, areas around Okemah

McIntosh County: Hitchita

Phase 2 Completion: End of 2025

Looking ahead, Phase 2 of the project is set to be completed by the end of 2025, extending high-speed internet access to additional areas, including:

Okmulgee County: Preston, Beggs, Dewar, Hoffman, Grayson

Creek County: Slick, areas around Bristow

“At ecoLINK Fiber, we are dedicated to bridging the digital divide and ensuring that the underserved have access to fast, affordable and reliable internet,” said Jeremy Hendrickson Vice President of Broadband at East Central Electric Cooperative. “The completion of these phases will mark a significant milestone in our mission”.
