John Hardy Bryant was born on February 12, 1974, in Okmulgee to John Lee Bryant and Naomi Lynn (Northcross) King. John passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024, in Okmulgee.

John attended Schulter Schools where he lived with his dad. John met Shanell Dillard in 1994 and they became partners in life. Of this relationship, they had three children, Shanda Elaine Waters of Schulter, Joshua Aaron Bryant of Okmulgee, and Johnna Lee (Bryant) Sparks of Sapulpa.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Naomi King; maternal grandparents, Maudie and Hardy Northcross; paternal grandparents, Mina and John Bryant; aunts, Elaine Bryant and Sandy Bright; along with Chuck Kelloge, James (Frenchie) Anderson, Mango Johns and Robby Meadows.

John is survived by his daughters, Shanda Waters and Johnna Sparks and husband Jesse; his son, Joshua Bryant; and his longtime February 12, 1974 – July 20, 2024

partner, Shanell Dillard. His father, Johnny Lee Bryant; two brothers, Dwight Scott and Mathew Scott; sister, Tammie Adair; and one grandchild, Frankie Sparks.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2024, at Mc-Clendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee. He will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Welty Cemetery.
