A tragic stabbing spree on Thursday afternoon near 4th Street and Division Avenue in Henryetta has left two dead and two others critically injured, including the suspect. The incident, which occurred around 3:30 p.m. July 25, has left the community with many questions as law enforcement agencies work to uncover the motive.

According to Henryetta Police Chief Steve Norman, the suspect stabbed three individuals before turning the knife on himself.

Chief Norman indicated that a language barrier complicated the investigation, as none of the parties involved speak English. However, the suspect was later identified as 21-year-old Brady Jordan Alva Cifuentes, believed to be a Guatemalan national.

Cifuentes, along with one surviving victim, was transported to a Tulsa hospital for treatment, with recent reports reporting both to be in critical condition.

The home where the incident occurred was found to contain large quantities of marijuana, suggesting it may have been a drug operation. Chief Norman noted that the drugs discovered inside the home were “far beyond even a trafficking amount.”

In addition to local law enforcement, the District 25 Violent Crimes Task Force and the FBI have been called in to assist with the investigation. Officers have been collecting evidence, including blood samples found trailing from the house to the nearby Homeland parking lot and back.

As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
