Joyce Marie (Stoker) Mullings, a longtime resident of Okmulgee County, lost her battle with kidney cancer on Friday July 26, 2024, at the age of 68 years, two months and 18 days in Henryetta. She was surrounded by her family.
Joyce was born to Joseph Leroy (JL) and Marie (Carter) Stoker in Hackett, Ark. on May 8, 1956. She married Robert E. Mullings June 1, 1983, in Ft. Smith, Ark. Joyce worked at the Okmulgee Walmart for nearly 25 years. She also worked in the dietary department of Fountain View Manor and Bono Nursing Home (Henryetta Community Skilled Healthcare & Rehab).
Joyce is survived by her two daughters, Tabatha (Boren) Flud and husband Jon of the Wilson community and Victoria (Boren) Warren and husband Keith of Tulsa; three grandsons, Justin Flud, Chris and Gabriel Thomas all of Okmulgee; two granddaughters, Ashleigh (Flud) Harris and husband Johnny of Henryetta, and Dalynn Sturman of Okmulgee; May 8, 1956 – July 26, 2024
two great grandchildren, October and JD Flud of Henryetta; a brother, Joseph G. Stoker of Boley; special friend Steve Vowell of Henryetta: and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Joyce is preceded in death by her father JL Stoker, her mother Marie (Carter) Stoker, her husband Robert E. Mullings, paternal and maternal grandparents and her brother Albert Stoker.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Council Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in memory of Joyce Mullings to the Kidney Cancer Association.
