Betty Lou Durham was born August 14, 1933, in Morris to the late Theodore and Esther (Porter) Fisher. She passed away Thursday morning, July 25, 2024, in Okmulgee at 90 years of age.

Betty graduated from Liberty-Morris School. She married G.L. Durham on January 23, 1953. They celebrated 51 years of marriage before his passing on April 1, 2004. Betty and G.L. loved traveling together. She was a longtime member of First Assembly of God in Okmulgee.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers, Albert, Joe and Glenn Fisher.

Survivors include her sisters, Kay Kelley and Shirley Poindexter and Clyde, a brother, Ted Fisher and wife Carolyn and her nieces and nephews that she claimed as her own kids.

Family and friends may visit the funeral home on Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 2-6 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2024, at First Assembly of God in Okmulgee, with Rev. Jonathan Hanshaw officiating. Interment will follow at the Fisher Family Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Shane Frederick, Ben Todd, Steve Poindexter, Ralph Fisher, Todd Bilgrien and Billy Mc-Cullah.
