Two individuals from Florida were arrested early morning on July 13, near Henryetta following a routine traffic stop that uncovered a significant quantity of illegal substances.
A Henryetta police officer initiated the stop around 12:29 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 40 near Mile Marker 240 after observing a white Ford Transit van traveling without its taillights illuminated.
Upon approaching the vehicle, the HPD officer noticed that the van’s license plate was obscured by a black cover, hindering identification of its origin. The driver, identified as Terrance Kristen Manley of Cape Coral, Fla. and passenger Raina Janelle Tankersley of Fort Myers, Fla. were promptly informed of the reason for the stop.
During the stop, Patrolman Brown requested Sergeant Richards to deploy K9 Gan for a routine air sniff around the vehicle. K9 Gan detected the presence of narcotics, prompting a probable cause search of the van. The search yielded 18 boxes containing a substantial quantity of THC-infused products, including vapes, gummies, dabs, and other related items.
As a result, both Manley and Tankersley were placed under arrest for trafficking marijuana. They were subsequently transported to the Okmulgee County Criminal Justice Authority for processing.
The complaints against the suspects include trafficking marijuana, with bail set at $25,000 for each defendant. They were scheduled to appear in district court yesterday.
