Knights Wrestling Club to hold skills camp July 26-27

The Henryetta Knights Wrestling Club will host its 4th Annual Skills and Drills Youth Wrestling Camp July 26-27.

The camp will be held at Henryetta High School Gym for ages 6-18. Participation costs $60 with lunch included.

Oklahoma State Wrestling standouts Reece Witcraft, Teague Travis and Jaxen Wright will lead the camp and teach some great techniques to help give each wrestler an edge over the competition.

— About Reece Witcraft

Reece Witcraft is a two-time Oklahoma High School State Champion (2019-20) and the only true freshman starter, going 18-10 on the season. He placed No. 22 in the Big 12 NCAA bid. In 2020-21, he ended the season 8-4 overall and made the bump to 133, taking on starter role for teammate Daxton Fix. In 2021-22 (Redshirt Year), Witcraft went 5-2 and placed 1st at the Lindenwood Open. In 2022-23, he finished the season 2012 while placing 3rd at the Big 12 and earning another NCAA bid as the No. 31 seed. Last season, he placed 1st at the Lindenwood Open and finished 1-1 in duals at 133.

— About Teague Travis

Teague Travis went 146-4 during his high school career. He was a four-time state champion. In 2021-22 (Redshirt Year), he compiled an 18-2 record as a true freshman. In 2022-23, he finished the season with a 17-2 record, with six falls and three major decisions. Last season, Travis finished 11-3 in duals as a redshirt sophomore. He placed 3rd at the Lindenwood Open and 4th in the Big 12, seeding 16th at the NCAA Championships.

— About Jaxen Wright

Jaxen Wright finished his career at Morris High School with a record of 112-10. He was named an All-American three times and capped of his career with a 3A State Championship at 165 pounds as a senior. Wright also placed runner-up as a junior, 3rd place as a sophomore and 4th place as a freshman at the 3A Oklahoma State Tournament. In 2023-24, Wright placed 2nd in the Freshman/Sophomore Division at the Lindenwood Open.
