Billy Paul Anderson

Billy Paul Anderson, longtime Beggs resident and rural mail carrier, passed away Monday, July 8, 2024, in Tulsa at 98 years of age. He was born Sunday, April 11, 1926, in Mounds. Billy graduated from Beggs High School and served in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Charlotte Doyle on September 2, 1950. Billy was an athlete and played baseball and basketball. He also served as an umpire and referee for many years. He was Beggs’ first Little League coach and along with Kenneth Buckley, Billy built the Little League field in Beggs. He was a Southern Baptist Deacon, a longtime April 11, 1926 – July 8, 2024

32 Degree Mason and a member of the Okmulgee Masonic Lodge #199 AF & AM.

Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather.

Arrangements are pending with McClendon- Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
