The Okmulgee Lions Club met last Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m. for their monthly evening meeting at the Lutheran Church. The organization enjoyed a meal and fellowship, followed by a rousing bingo game.
Special guest and speaker was Kristin Johnson, Branch Manager of Western Sun Federal Credit Union.
Kristin is a local girl, the daughter of Ed and Jeannette Johnson. Kristin graduated from Okmulgee High School and began a series of job opportunities and over the years before she found her way to Western Sun. She was hired there by John Roberson and held several positions as she learned and grew to know the business.
Kristin spoke of her faith and her involvement with the youngsters at her church.
As an employee of Western Sun, she took advantage of educational opportunities that they provided. It was great to see Kristin and enjoy her story.
Western Sun is involved in helping our community with understanding and a family approach, with kindness and friendly service.
