Okmulgee County, along with other parts of eastern Oklahoma, has received large amounts of rain due to recent storms. This photo by Okmulgee County Emergency Management shows 36th Street between Mission and 250 Road, which is currently closed due to flooding. Residents in the area have had to use alternate routes to gain access to their homes. Waters will continue to rise as even more rain is projected to come next Monday and Tuesday. In the last 10 days, Okmulgee has received just over 4 inches of water. As a reminder, do not drive into flooded areas and roads water depths can be deceiving.
