Tiffany Withrow seeks County Clerk post

Editor’s Note: June 18 is the election for Okmulgee County Clerk. Incumbent candidate Tonya Day is being challenged by Tiffany Withrow. Early voting begins next Thursday.

– My name is Tiffany Withrow, I currently live on the outskirts of Henryetta in Hoffman, Oklahoma and have lived in Okmulgee County all of my life. I am a proud citizen of the Muscogee Creek Nation; a member of Henryetta American Legion Lady Auxiliary, attend Wilson Baptist Church and I am 1993 graduate of Wilson High School. I have an Associate’s Degree in Pre-Secondary Education from OSUIT in Okmulgee.

My parents are Eddie Withrow and Naomi (McNac) King, along with my grandparents, Jack and Leota Withrow and Elna (Mc-Nac) Fisher, and many more generations all right here from Oklahoma. I have three sisters. We were all raised up here in Okmulgee County. I am married and have three children and 11 grandchildren.

I am currently a member of Operating Engineers Local 112 out of Anderson, Indiana. I have worked for Shaw Pipeline Services out of Broken Arrow for the past 12 years on projects that allowed me the opportunity to travel all over the United States. I am always happy to get back home to Oklahoma. I am most fortunate to have received extensive training at our union training facilities and I’m proud to say I am certified in everything available to me. Earlier this year, I successfully certified at top tier level in an industry specific qualification that put me at an administrative level.

My previous work experience also includes 12 years as a manager for a finance company in Okmulgee. I was responsible for training and supervising all the employees at that location, as well as dealing with the public. In addition, I carried out audits, performed troubleshooting services and taught customer service skills along with strategies to help them achieve their goals and objectives.

If I am given the opportunity to be your County Clerk, I will prove myself to be a valuable asset. I bring with me job experience that includes manager, supervisor, job coordinating, and extensive clerical & communication skills. I feel this will help me quickly understand and perform all the duties associated with the position of County Clerk. My nature is detail oriented, and I am all about efficiency. Integrity, and a good strong work ethic are two other personality traits that are a big part of anything I do… in a work or personal atmosphere. I am well driven to accomplish any goals, qualifications and training that I would need to fulfill this position. I have always worked well with other people and helped to create a positive atmosphere.

I hope to gain your vote and have the chance to serve the community. I will be that individual that the people can be comfortable with … to come see … and they will know that no matter what the issue may be, they can always come to me and know without concern, that I will listen and assist them to the best of my ability.

I am a reliable individual that is trustworthy and will do what I say I will do. I am a hands-on person that accomplishes what I set out to do. I am respectful, open, honest, and responsible. I communicate and work well with others. I will go above and beyond in learning and holding this position.

I feel this, along with my previous work experience, will help me focus on effective time management and would allow me to adapt and excel in the position as your County Clerk.

If anyone has any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me.
