Patrick Micheal Dolan was born in Enid on May 2, 1943, to Joe and Florine Dolan and passed away May 16, 2024, at the age of 81 after a short battle with lung cancer. He was raised in Enid until he was a teenager; from there, the family moved to Bellaire, Texas, then later to Lake Tenkiller near Tahlequah. While living at Lake Tenkiller, he met and married Linda Carter and they had one daughter, Jody Marle.
He later married Shirley Hill in 1966 and had a son Micheal, and they remained married until her death in 2017 (51 years).
Pat later Joined the U.S. Army, where he was deployed to Korea, then later to Fort Richardson in Alaska. During his eight years in the military, he was a drill sergeant and later a staff sergeant. He remembered his time in Alaska fondly while there he hunted moose and caribou. Pat was an avid Hunter and fisherman.
After he finished his military career, the family moved to the Morris area. Pat attended Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology in Okmulgee, where he graduated with a Plumbing degree. He was a Plumber in Houston, Texas, Hinton, and later started a plumbing business in Okmulgee for a few years. He worked in the Oil patch in Enid for a few years and back to the Morris area where he worked with his wife’s family on the farm and cattle operation. He went to work with the post office in Muskogee and later the post office in Okmulgee until he retired. After retirement, he worked a few years for the Deep Fork National Wildlife refuge.

Pat continued to hunt and fish until his 70s. He Loved deer hunting and he especially loved the Cherokee public hunt area near Lake Tenkiller. He traveled to Colorado for Elk hunting with His Son Mike and Nephew Mark. He loved the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and New Mexico. After Shirley retired, they purchased an RV and took several trips to Red River, New Mexico.
Pat is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Florine Dolan; his Bbrother Jerry Dolan; his sister Joenita Burns; and his wife Shirley; and son Micheal Dolan.
Patrick is survived by his granddaughter, Cortney Dolan and wife Brigida; daughter-inlaw Natalie Dolan; nephew Mark; grandchildren Zach and Ashley, Danielle, Michael and Emma, Kaylee, John, Aurora, Ayden, and Kenzie; great-grandchildren Adain Clay, Bradlee Clay, Malaki and Macklynn Dolan; his close friend, Glen Robbins; and many other loving relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Schaudt’s Okmulgee Funeral Service Chapel, with Pastor Randy Matthews of Clearview Baptist Church officiating. A graveside service will occur at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery after the memorial.
