The Okmulgee Agricultural Education program would not exist without the support of someone who has poured into Okmulgee students for the last 48 years. Having the vision to bring back the agricultural education program in 2018, the Okmulgee FFA showed their gratitude to Supt. Renee Dove and presented her with a “Forever Blue” embroidered corduroy plaque as a small token of their appreciation at the Okmulgee FFA Chapter Banquet on May 17. “From our first meeting in 2017, I knew Mrs. Renee Dove was sold on the whole vision for the AgEd Program in Okmulgee,” Tim Taylor said. “I am so thankful for her willingness to give me and Mrs. Angela Johnson the latitude to try new things, take risks and bring our students new experiences in ways not often seen at Okmulgee High School. Talk about an advocate for agricultural education! My Dad (Leonard Taylor) loved sitting down with you at our FFA events and asked about you often. Thank you for your continued support. You’re always welcome to our events and to see our students grow in the future. Enjoy retirement!”
